Financial Policy

Our mission is to provide quality medicine and compassionate care for your pet. Our veterinarians and technicians will present you with the cost of any recommended care prior to beginning treatment. In the case of an emergency, your pet will be stabilized before your medical options are presented.

If your pet is admitted to the hospital, the veterinarian will ask you to leave a deposit (usually 50% of the estimated treatment charges). Moreover, the veterinarian and technician will provide a treatment plan and estimate for these hospitalized patients.

Payment, in full, is required at the time services are rendered. Returned checks will incur a $30 fee.

Payment Options:

We accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks.

If you would like to split your total into payments, we offer plans through the below providers:

Care Credit

6 months – no interest if paid in full by the end of promotion period. Minimum $200 purchase.
24 months – reduced APR. Minimum $1,000 purchase.

ScratchPay

Take 5 – 5 Bi-weekly payments, no interest. Minimum $35 purchase.
12 months – APR varies. Minimum $200 purchase.
24 months – APR varies. Minimum $2,000 purchase.

Pet Insurance

At Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital we do not partner with any specific pet insurance providers. However, pet insurance can be a great way for you to be reimbursed for the cost of care. Most plans cover up to 90% of your vet bill for new accidents & illnesses.

Once the annual deductible is met, pet insurance can help you save on:

  • accidents
  • illnesses
  • diagnostics
  • surgeries
  • medication
  • and more

Pet insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions, so it's helpful to enroll before any issues are present.

Why do we think this is important?

  • 1 out of 3 pets will need emergency care, which can cost thousands
  • If a pet gets sick or injured, pet insurance can reimburse you for treatment & tests
  • You can also get reimbursed on routine care if they have a wellness plan
